Description
Looking stylish is all well and good, but it’s even better to hear someone shout as you ride past: ‘Wow, what a cool bike!’ That’s exactly the sort of bike Humuhumunukunukuapua’a has always been. Its retro-inspired look harks back to a time when beach cruisers and classic mountain bikes ruled the cycling world. It’s the perfect ‘old friend’ – a bike you can ride leisurely to the local pub, explore city streets on, and enjoy fun detours on your way home. The reborn Kona Humu retains its iconic double top-tube design and simple, practical nature. Sliding rear dropouts allow for easy single-speed set-up, whilst modern standards such as Boost hub width and IS brake mounts mean you can also use existing mountain bike components. The updated geometry is derived from Kona’s popular city bike models, offering improved comfort, stability and handling. The customised Kona Cruiser handlebars ensure a high and comfortable riding position, whilst the wider profile adds confidence and control even on more challenging trails. The name may be tricky to pronounce, but the ride is simple and enjoyable.

If you would like us to assemble the bicycle for you, select the “Bicycle Assembly” service under the “Velomarket recommends” section.
If you order bicycle assembly and home delivery by courier, the bicycle will be delivered 90–97% assembled (depending on the weight and dimensions of the bicycle ordered). The bicycle will be fully assembled and adjusted in our workshop. However, to prevent damage during transportation, we remove the pedals and turn the handlebars to the side. For bicycles with carbon fibre frames, as well as larger electric bicycles, the front wheel is also packed separately in the box.
Please note that bicycle assembly adds 1–2 business days to the order processing time.
If you would like us to install additional equipment, please indicate this in the comments field. Installation can be paid for on site or later by invoice. With courier delivery, we can install a kickstand, basket mount and mudguard mounts, but we kindly ask you to install the basket and mudguards yourself after receiving the goods.
