Description
The Kona Makena children’s bike is a 20-inch children’s bike designed for young riders who are ready for their first proper bike.
The low frame makes it easy to get on and off the bike and allows you to rest your foot comfortably on the ground when needed. The wide 2.6-inch tyres ensure good grip and stability, helping beginner cyclists feel more confident. The simple single-chainring gear system makes changing gears easy to understand, and the 32-tooth chainring helps keep pedalling manageable even when the child starts exploring new trails beyond the back garden. The Makena is a comfortable and durable bike that makes learning to ride more about enjoying the freedom than just practising.

If you would like us to assemble the bicycle for you, select the “Bicycle Assembly” service under the “Velomarket recommends” section.
If you order bicycle assembly and home delivery by courier, the bicycle will be delivered 90–97% assembled (depending on the weight and dimensions of the bicycle ordered). The bicycle will be fully assembled and adjusted in our workshop. However, to prevent damage during transportation, we remove the pedals and turn the handlebars to the side. For bicycles with carbon fibre frames, as well as larger electric bicycles, the front wheel is also packed separately in the box.
Please note that bicycle assembly adds 1–2 business days to the order processing time.
If you would like us to install additional equipment, please indicate this in the comments field. Installation can be paid for on site or later by invoice. With courier delivery, we can install a kickstand, basket mount and mudguard mounts, but we kindly ask you to install the basket and mudguards yourself after receiving the goods.
