The Motobécane Concept Team Champion bicycle takes you back in time to 1973, when Luis Ocaña won the Tour de France. The Concept Team Champion is built exactly to the specifications of that winning bike, the Team Champion model. No detail has been overlooked – even the gear levers are mounted directly onto the frame, just like the original.
The frame is made from Reynolds #520 Cr-Mo steel, with a Shimano Claris gear system handling the shifting. Claris is designed for versatile use, offering just the right number of gears for both city and off-road riding. Shifting is smooth, fast and precise. At the same time, the Claris drivetrain is quite robust and requires minimal maintenance.
Panaracer GravelKing SK 28″ tyres are designed for high speeds even on rough terrain. The aggressive tread pattern, natural rubber compound and puncture resistance ensure a high-quality tyre. The Panaracer GravelKing SK tyre offers strong grip on gravel roads whilst maintaining comfort. On tarmac, it rolls with ease and is almost silent.
The handlebars also feature a classic style – wrapped in brown handlebar tape for comfort and durability.

Bicycle Assembly” service under the “Velomarket Recommends” section. If you collect the bicycle yourself from one of our stores, you can leave with a ride-ready bicycle.
If you order bicycle assembly together with home delivery by courier, the bicycle will be delivered 85% assembled. The brakes and gears are adjusted in the workshop, but to prevent transport damage, the pedals are removed and the handlebars are turned sideways. For larger bicycles, the front wheel is also removed.
Please note that bicycle assembly adds 2–4 working days to the order processing time.
If you would like any additional accessories to be installed, please let us know in the comments section. Installation can be paid for on-site or later by invoice. In the case of courier delivery, we can install the kickstand, basket mount, and mudguard mounts, but we kindly ask you to install the basket itself and the mudguards after receiving the goods.
The buyer is responsible for the correct final assembly and preparation of the bicycle for use. Please note that failure to comply with this requirement will void the product warranty. To ensure safety and maintain the warranty, we recommend having the bicycle assembled and adjusted by a professional bicycle workshop.
