Experience the superb quality of the Fluid Rower with its adjustable resistance. The Tunturi Fluid Neon Plus rowing machine is a powerful steel rowing machine with an elegant black finish. Rowing on the Fluid Rower sounds, feels and looks just like rowing on real water. This is ensured by the high-quality water tank, which utilises patented Twin Tank technology. This unique system allows you to easily adjust the water resistance at any time using the adjustment knob. The Fluid Rower’s water tank consists of two separate tanks: an inner tank and an outer tank. The inner tank is passive, or a storage tank, whilst the outer tank is active, or a resistance tank. When you select a higher resistance using the adjustment knob whilst rowing, water moves from the passive tank to the active tank. As a result, the water resistance increases gradually after a few strokes. If you select a lower resistance level, water flows back from the active tank to the passive tank, and the resistance decreases after a few strokes. Twin Tank technology therefore allows you to adjust the resistance quickly and smoothly during your workout, providing a natural rowing experience that mimics rowing on water.

Tunturi literally means “big mountain”, which symbolizes overcoming challenges and the feeling that comes after intense training and self-surpassing.
Tunturi started in 1922 . in Turku, Finland , when brothers Aarne and Eero Harke opened the bicycle shop Pyöräkellari Oy. At first, the main focus was repairing bicycles, then they produced their own bicycles under the name of Tunturi. The brand was very successful and within a few years the small shop was replaced by a factory, and by the 1950s the Tuntur brand was in a leading position in the domestic moped market. Using the technology and knowledge gained from bicycle production, Tunturi expanded into the production of other sports equipment.
1969 . In 1998, Tunturi changed the entire fitness industry by introducing the world’s first bicycle ergometer for home use , and a year later received international recognition as a sports equipment manufacturer.
In the 1990s, a strategic decision was made to focus on the production of Tuntur fitness products and Tuntur bicycles. This decision was important for the further development of the brand. Tunturi is now a well-known brand in Scandinavian countries, and Tunturi fitness products are sold in more than 40 countries worldwide . Tunturi is now located in Almere (near Amsterdam in the Netherlands), owned by the Accell Group.
In 2026, Tunturi achieved official B Corp™ certification with a score of over 90 points, confirming the company’s strong commitment to sustainability, transparency, and social responsibility throughout its entire value chain.
