Asymmetric training – this type of training focuses on asymmetric and rotational movements. This type of asymmetric training, also known as unilateral training, has the advantage that both sides of the body can be trained separately. None of us is completely symmetrical. For example, when doing arm curls, the distribution of body weight on the arms is never exactly 50/50. In order to perfectly balance all the muscles on both sides of the body, asymmetric training is perfect.
